The European Cast Iron (ECI) Meeting 2020 which was planned on 16-17th April 2020 is postponed to 22-23 April 2021 in Krakow, Poland. The event will be hosted by the Faculty of Foundry Engineering of AGH University of Science and Technology. The co-organizers of the meeting will be Polish iron foundry – Odlewnie Polskie SA and Polish Foundrymen’s Association.
The event gathers all ECI members – iron experts from all over Europe. The meeting always brings together about 50 institutions from 15 countries including representatives of the foundry industry, research centres and education and training institutions. The main aim of the meeting is to discuss recent developments in research and innovation in cast iron including the most important topics as new material properties, metallurgical control, advanced research and production process.
This is the first time the ECI Meeting will take place in Poland. The participants will have a possibility to visit Krakow – magnificent city named as the City of Kings.
